I'm still bothered by this morning's meeting with various "important" people from the Town.  We went in asking for a simple request and were told flat out by the town supervisor (the most "important" of the important people) that we shouldn't even try because we would get no where.  Her Half Empty attitude didn't go over very well.  SJ's response was "I appreciate your being so frank, but..."  Guess she didn't realize that she was dealing with 2 people who only get more fired up when they are told they can't do something. 

The real problem was that the Town didn't have an argument and so they had to come at us with this negative attitude because it was the only way they could make a case.  

Unfortunately, the town supervisor had to leave for lunch before I got to mention our new Wood Duck habitat.  Remember the wetlands permit??? 

Why don't they just get it that we are Good People, trying to do good things.  As I mentioned in my twitter, it isn't like we were asking to put a Kohl's in our backyard.
