It was great to see everyone at the farm yesterday! I'm sure there will be lots of photos going around on the various blogs. Sarah put on a very fun spread for E's first bday--this was not your typical farm family birthday party! Remember the one when karl got jars of spaghetti sauce as a gift?? We were in college and starving on a tight budget!!

Saturday night was fun too. We helped wah put the finishing touches on the party planning and had a summery dinner cooked by my mom. Afterwards, we went out to pick up Klondike bars -- something that my grandmother always had in the freezer. It wouldn't have been the perfect summer day at the farm without ice cream!!
